Write a commentThe Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee and the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office presented civilian appreciation awards to Hon. Kenneth Adkins and Christine and David Goodwin for their brave and selfless actions during a fatal car crash in July.
When a car struck a tree and caught fire in Scriba, Adkins and the Goodwins assisted in rescuing a young boy from the passenger’s seat. The citizens deployed multiple fire extinguishers to suppress the rapidly growing fire and worked to force the car door open and cut the boy’s seatbelt.
