The Oswego YMCA will hold a five-week Lifeguard Certification Course beginning Tuesday, Jan. 29. The classes will be held from 3-6 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Participants must be 15 or older by the test day. Course participants must be able to swim 500 yards without stopping; must be able to retrieve a brick from the bottom of the pool; and must read water for two minutes.
The Oswego YMCA will also hold a Junior Lifeguard Class for ages 11-14 beginning in March. For more information on either course, call the YMCA at 315-343-1981.
