News from the Assembly Minority Leader

Statement From Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay

Will Barclay

After a great deal of consideration, I have decided that I will not seek re-election to the 120th Assembly District. I intend to step down as Minority Leader in the coming days, allowing for a smooth transition to new leadership early in the legislative session.

OS Baseball

The Oswego State baseball team (2-0) defeated No. 13 Rowan University (0-2) in both games of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Marlins Field on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College.

With the Lakers threatening in the third inning, Eric Hamilton skied a sacrifice fly to center field to bring inDan Saccocio. Saccocio scored two runs, including an insurance run in the eighth.

Wes Randall led off the game with an infield hit before leaving with a hand injury. Eli Holton replaced Randall and collected a single and a double in his first collegiate game. The freshman also earned a walk in the contest.

Miles Kelly rolled through six innings before facing resistance from Rowan in the seventh and eighth innings. Kelly plunked two batters in the seventh and loaded the bases, but he was able to get out of the frame with minimal damage. Kelly allowed two runs and struck out seven in eight innings of work.
