Mike Dellicarri of the No. 21 Oswego State baseball team was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week for the week ending April 22. Dellicarri’s domination of Plattsburgh pitching over the weekend paved the way for his selection, which is his second of the season.
The junior went 7-for-13 (.538) at the plate, leading the Lakers to their sweep of Plattsburgh. Dellicarri also scored five runs, while driving in five more. He flexed his muscle at the plate as well, notching a double, triple and home run.
In the outfield, Dellicarri recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the series. The Congers native nabbed six putouts for Oswego.
Dellicarri and the Lakers take the field again at 4 p.m. today as they host Ithaca for a nonconference contest at Laker Baseball Field.
