The Oswego State men's golf team won the 16th Annual Oswego Fall Invitational held at Oswego Country Club Monday, Sept. 16.
Oswego shot a 305 (+21) to take the victory by a stroke over SUNY Delhi's two teams which each shot a cumulative 306 (+22).
Kyle Gaillard led the way for the Lakers, shooting a 73 (+2) followed by sophomore Tyler Wurzer's 75 (+4). Classmate Dan North brought in Oswego's third score, shooting a 78 (+7). Junior Kyle Brockmann rounded out the scoring on the Laker's first team, shooting a 79 (+8).
Oswego also had a second team entered in the tournament. Shooting a low on that squad was freshman Dylan Smith who finished with a 77 (+6). Also breaking into the 70s on the day was Tom Mills. The junior shot a 79 (+8) for the round.
Evan Clarke of Elmira was the medalist of the tournament, shooting an ever-par 71.
The Lakers will visit Clarke and the Soaring Eagles at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 24, when Oswego travels to participate in the Elmira Fall Invitational.
