
The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team earned its second victory of the season, defeating Wells College 80-35 on the road Saturday afternoon. The win improves the team's record 2-1 on the season, while the Express takes their first loss of the season.
The day started off well for the Lakers as Dylan Richmond, Zach Gerber, Sanjay Raman and Alexander Kemper teamed up to take first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:49.99. Richmond used the win to boost him through the rest of the day, taking first in both the 200 and 100-yard backstroke events. Kemper would also earn to more first-place finishes, winning both the 100 and 200-yard freestyle races.
Sam Carwile had an impressive outing in the distance events, capturing a win in the 1000-yard free before touching the wall first in the 500-yard free.
Oswego ended the day recording first place finishes in 12 of the 14 events.
Men's swimming and diving will jump back in the pool at 1 p.m. on Saturday as it travels to Clarkson University.
