John Mackie (Jr., Bellport, N.Y.) fired a round of 80 to earn medalist honors by four strokes and help the Oswego State men's golf team win the Keuka Spring Invitational with a team score of 340 on Thursday, April 18, at the Lakeside Country Club.
The Lakers had their next three scores place tie for fifth and tie for seventh to defeat second-place Houghton by 21 strokes. Dan North (Fr., Ilion, N.Y.) tied for fifth after carding a score of 86 followed by Tom Mills (So., Macedon, N.Y.) and Nick Sterling's (Sr., Gouverneur, N.Y.) identical rounds of 87. Kyle Brockmann (So., Fairport, N.Y.) turned in a score 92 to finish tied for 13th.
Oswego State looks to stay hot next Tuesday, April 23, at the Elmira Spring Invitational.
