The Oswego State men's hockey had a busy weekend as it inducted new members to its Alumni Hockey Hall of Fame. It also received a donation for a good cause from a company the hockey team often uses.
Being inducted into the Alumni Hockey Hall of Fame were Don Patrick and Ed Ames.
Patrick was a class of 2005 graduate who had a significant impact on the men's hockey program. He was a two-time All-American while also making All-SUNYAC First Team twice. To date, Patrick ranks 26th on the all-time scoring list at Oswego.
Ames was a class of 1968 graduate who put up astounding numbers in just two seasons. His 102 points in just two years still ranks inside the top 50 Lakers of all-time.
Many alumni attended the event while more than 150 people participated in the weekend's activities.
Enterprise Rental Car also made a $1,500 donation to ovarian cancer awareness on behalf of the men's hockey program. Men's hockey works throughout the year with Enterprise and its consistent patronage earned the donation to a charity of the program's choice.
