Evangeline and Elizabeth Canfield will be performing a senior recital held at 7 p.m., March 5, in SUNY Oswego's Waterman Theatre in Tyler Hall.
The Canfields are identical 21-one-year-old twins who perform both individually and as a duo piano team throughout Central New York.
The twins began their formal training at age 10 with Kimberly Yerton and then transferred in 2005 to Dr. Robert Auler at SUNY Oswego as preparatory students. They are currently seniors in the music department at the State University of New York at Oswego with a concentration in piano performance. Their performance experience includes appearances on concert series, student recitals, masterclasses and collaborative performances.
In the spring of their freshman year, they performed with the College-Community Orchestra to present Mozart's Double Piano Concerto in E-flat major, K 365.
Last summer, they studied with international concert pianists at the Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music's "Art of the Piano" program.
The recital program will include works by Beethoven, Mozart, Schumann and Dvorak.
