Write a commentRobert L. Syrell, Jr., 64, of Oswego Town died July 28, 2025 following several years of medical issues.
Robert is the son of Linda A. Syrell Tyrrell (Frank) of Fulton, and was predeceased by his father, Robert L. Syrell in 1998.
Robert graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School in 1979, and was a veteran of the US Navy where he served as a Seebee. He also delivered the Post-Standard for many years, and worked at Paul’s Big M and Riverside Cemetery in Oswego.
Robert is survived by his sons Chance Kennedy of Oswego and Allen Scott Syrell of Mexico; the mother of his sons, Lori Allen of Mexico; his sisters Melinda (Donald) Grant of Oswego, and Lisa (Donald) Kranz of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews, and his long-time best friend, Robert Welch of Orwell.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no calling hours. Burial in the Hannibal Village Cemetery will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
