Compass Credit Union recently donated $2,500 to be split evenly between Fitzhugh Park, Leighton, Charles Riley and Kingsford Park Elementary Schools as well as the Oswego Middle School which will be used in the holiday assistance to families and students in need.

A Trinity Library Benefit Night will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Canale's Restaurant. Proceeds from the event will be used for the school's continued library improvements. The school will receive 20 percent of the sales on lunch, dinner or take-outs orders when accompanied by an event coupon. Coupons are available from any Trinity family, at the school or from the school's website, oswegotrinitycatholic.org.
The Northern New York Robotics Academy at Clarkson University in partnership with The Center for Instruction, Technology & Innovation (CiTi), will be providing high school students with five days of hands-on, project-based STEM instruction to solve a robotics challenge that is based on a past FIRST Tech Challenge using TETRIX and MINDSTORMS NXT kits.
Freezing Code, the local Vex Robotics Competition team, continued its winning season recently at a tournament in Troy, where they competed against 38 other teams from northern New York State.
The Oswego Flag football teams have been competing at the CNY Sports Complex since December. There are 10U and 12U teams.

Impressive academic learning was showcased at A.A. Cole Elementary School’s Project Showcase/Open House, which was complete with science projects ranging from robots to tornadoes to volcanoes.
