"Principal for a Day" was an honor recently bestowed upon two Frederick Leighton Elementary School students.
As part of the celebration of reading, second-grader Anna Cloonan and fifth-grader Abby McPherson partnered with Principal Julie Burger for an entire day.
Students earned the opportunity through their dedication to reading.

Fitzhugh Park Elementary School (FPS) received a generous food donation from Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) National Leadership Honor Society of SUNY Oswego. The organization sponsored a family for Thanksgiving and provided all of the fixings plus much more. President Mike Dempsey did all of the food shopping. Thanksgiving came to Oswego elementary schools as hundreds of meals were served at Fitzhugh Park and Minetto Elementary as the holidays approached. Brayden Bresee at Minetto had a healthy meal as the "pilgrim" prepared to celebrate in the school cafeteria.
The Oswego High School will be hosting its annual Financial Aid Information Night for high school seniors planning to attend college and their parents at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 26, in the Oswego High School Robinson-Faust Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Oswego Walmart donated $3,500 to the Oswego City School District "Family Giving Program." Home and School Association representatives attended the presentation ceremony. Members of the Oswego High School Interact Club recently traveled to the Oswego Hospital to donate 60 blankets for babies.
