Murdock's Bicycle and Sports, of Oswego, donated a skateboard and helmet for the Oswego Middle School (OMS) Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. Seventh-grader, Travis Dominick, was the recipient of the awards. PBIS coordinator, Beth Stevens, left, and OMS principal, Mary Beth Fierro, presented the generous donation to Dominick, who said he would be giving his skateboard and helmet to his older brother, Tyler.

   Oswego Middle School Home and Career Skills teacher, Sarah Rector, took the Christmas tree to a whole new level. Before the Christmas break, she walked around the building with a star held over her head and wrapped in tinsel and ornaments signifying the holiday season was in full swing.

     FitzGibbons Insurance owner, John FitzGibbons, sponsors the "FitzGibbons Insurance Athletes of the Month." The November Oswego High School "Athletes of the Month" were wrestler Jacob Rodriguez and volleyball player Cortnie Purce. Each received a $25 gift certificate for Fajita Grill on Route 104 West in Oswego. Above, Buccaneer Booster President Judy Queale-Dunsmoor presented the certificates.

     Oswego High School students in Taishana Jackson's classroom decided Wednesday that they wanted to do something for Sandy Hook Elementary School. They made ribbons and on Friday passed them around the building. Green ribbons were part of the wardrobe of students and faculty. The students received contributions of $873.89. Students proudly wore the ribbons and displayed some that they were still available.
