Statement From Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay

Will Barclay

After a great deal of consideration, I have decided that I will not seek re-election to the 120th Assembly District. I intend to step down as Minority Leader in the coming days, allowing for a smooth transition to new leadership early in the legislative session.

Oswego State's Stover and Kipper recognized on women's basketball All-SUNYAC teams

     Oswego State senior women's basketball players Meagan Stover (Lake George, N.Y.) and Kari Kipper (Loudonville, N.Y.) have been named to State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Basketball all-conference teams as voted on by the league's coaches.

     Both first-time selections, Stover and Kipper were First- and Third-Team picks, respectively.
    22 Meagan Stover Meagan Stover averaged 11.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and a league-leading 2.7 steals over the course of 18 conference games this season. The forward paced Oswego State with 12.2 points per game and 68 total steals overall, while ranking second on the squad in rebounds per game (5.9) and blocked shots (30). She was chosen as SUNYAC Player of the Week on December 3. Stover is the first Laker to be named First Team All-SUNYAC since 2004-05 when Sarah Lombard was selected.
     Kari Kipper averaged 11.6 points and 3.7 rebounds in 16 league contests, while finishing21 Kari Kipper the season second on the team averaging 10.6 points per game and shot 86.4 percent from the free throw line. The guard also grabbed 3.8 boards per contest and registering 17 steals.
     The Lakers finished the season at 18-9 overall and 11-7 in SUNYAC play to earn the third seed in the SUNYAC Tournament where they defeated Cortland in the quarterfinal round before falling to Geneseo in the semifinal round.
