The ice has melted in the arena and Salt City Roller Derby will host a season opener game from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at the Fulton Community Ice Arena in Fulton, NY.
General admission is $15, 12 years and under is free. This event will feature the Salt City Home Teams, the Spuds versus the Riggies. These teams will battle on the track in a galactic themed game, Carb Wars, for the first phase of the home team championship. The Spuds stand undefeated and the Riggies will rally to the challenge.
Leading up to Saturday's events, Salt City Roller Derby will host an information session on Monday, April 29 from 6-7 p.m. at Kirk Park for the upcoming New Skater Bootcamp. This info session is open to anyone at least 18 years old, and free to attend. Participants will be able to meet league members, preview what to expect, and register for the bootcamp. The bootcamp will run every Monday from June 3 to August 26, 6-8 p.m.
Tickets for all Salt City Roller Derby events can be purchased in person at the venue or online at www.saltcityrollerderby.com. Season passes are $50 also available online. Game dates included with the season pass are May 4, June 29, August 3, and September 28. Events are family friendly, they may include a variety of entertainment, and the Fulton Youth Hockey will be selling concessions at each game. Salt City merchandise can be purchased at each game.
