“We started with a Food & History Tour and over the years added a Haunted Tour and a Just the History Tour,” reminisces owner, Colette Astoria. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years!”

Oswego State baseball doubles up Emory & Henry, 16-8

     OS BaseballThe Oswego State baseball team (3-1) knocked out four homeruns and tallied 18 hits en route to a 16-8 win over Emory & Henry (6-11) Saturday afternoon, March 16.

      Mike Stark (Sr., Rochester, N.Y.) and Scott Buniak (Jr., Clifton Park, N.Y.) each went 3-for-5 at the plate, while Stark added three RBI and Buniak recorded two RBI.

     The Lakers set the tone right away, rattling off four straight hits before Buniak drilled a two-run homerun on a 1-2 pitch, as Oswego State plated five runs in the top of the first. Emory & Henry responded with three runs in its half of the frame, but the Lakers got five runs back in the second and third innings highlighted by a pair of two-run shots from Jordan Giller (Fr., Toronto, Ontario) and Mike McMullen (Jr., Syracuse, N.Y.) to go ahead 10-5.

     Over the course of the next two and a half innings, Emory & Henry cut into its deficit, making the score, 11-8, heading into the sixth inning.

     McMullen hit a two-out, two-run double into left field on a 1-0 pitch in the sixth for the Lakers. Stark added a solo homerun in the seventh followed by a two-run single from  Tom Curry (Jr., Pulaski, N.Y.) in the eighth, as Oswego State closed out the game with a 16-8 win.

     Thor Miller (Jr., Miller Place, N.Y.) earned the win after throwing four innings and allowing five earned runs. Cody LaFlamme (Fr., Eagle Bridge, N.Y.) threw four relief innings, surrendering three earned runs on six hits. Dylan Kohlman (So., Vestal, N.Y.) tossed a scoreless ninth inning.
