The Oswego State men's swimming and diving team was victorious defeating Brockport by a final score of 160-127. However, the Laker women fell to the Golden Eagles 173-104 on Saturday afternoon.      The Laker men were led by Tom Schmid (Jr., Liverpool, N.Y.) and Andrew Minnick (Jr., Latham, N.Y.) who continued to build upon their early season success. Schmid took first-place finishes in the 1650 freestyle (18:27.60) and the 500 freestyle (5:09.28), narrowly edging out Minnick who took second place (5:09.95). Minnick claimed victories of his own in the 200 free (1:50.72), as well as the 200 IM (2:09.08). Niklas Hesse (Fr., StoN.Y. Brook, N.Y.) also contributed two valuable first-place finishes in the 100 breaststroke (1:06.66) and 200 breaststroke (2:25.90).
Other Oswego State swimmers turning in victories on the men's side were Austin Nau (Fr., Rochester, N.Y.) in the 100 backstroke (58.40) and Adam Weber (Sr., Clarence, N.Y.) in the 200 backstroke (2:07.00).
Justin Berrios (So., Bronx, N.Y.) had a successful day on the diving boards, sweeping the 1-meter (266.75) and 3-meter (235.90) events.
While the Oswego State women ultimately fell short against the Golden Eagles, there were a number of Laker victories on the day. Lauren Jackson (Jr.,   Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) took first place in the 500 free (5:51.05) whileKatie Flood (Jr., Hastings on the Hudson, N.Y.) won the 200 breaststroke (2:27.23).   Sabia Filiaci (So., Schenectady, N.Y.) touched first in the 100 butterfly in a time of 1:02.35.
The Laker women ended the day on a winning note as Filiaci and Flood teamed up with Emily Plummer (Sr., Horseheads, N.Y.) and Emily Doe (Fr., Dansville, N.Y.) to capture first place in the 400 free relay (3:56.39).
The Lakers will return to action following the Thanksgiving holiday as they travel to compete at the three-day Fredonia Invitational starting on Nov. 30.
