“We started with a Food & History Tour and over the years added a Haunted Tour and a Just the History Tour,” reminisces owner, Colette Astoria. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years!”

Oswego State volleyball splits, Friday; uses huge comeback against Marywood

    OS Volley Ball The Oswego State volleyball team split its matches Friday night in the opening round of the Oswego State Tournament which was held in Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the split, the Lakers are now 5-5 on the year.

     In their first match with SUNYIT, the Lakers lost in three games 25-22, 25-22 and 30-28. Stephanie Bailey led the team with nine kills. Meaghan Roefs and Sabrina Suttonwere not far off Bailey's mark, finishing with seven kills apiece.

     Lauren Edwards paced Oswego with six assists while chipping in a kill.

     For the nightcap, Oswego took down Marywood University in comeback fashion. After dropping the first two games, the Lakers strung together three straight wins to take the match 3-2.

     The two teams battled back in forth in the first game, needing extra points to decide the winner. After several stalemates, the Pacers took the game from the Lakers 29-27.

     Marywood carried the momentum into the second game, taking it 25-13.

     Oswego put pressure on the Pacers in the third game, outscoring Marywood 7-2 to end the set, winning 25-22. The Lakers were not done mounting the comeback, cruising in the fourth game to a 25-15 victory.

     In the deciding game, Oswego jumped out to a lead and held for the 15-9 win.

     Sutton took charge in the final match of the night, killing seven attempts. Edwards finished with a team-high 18 assists while Rachel Ruggaber (15) and Meaghan Puff (10) each tallied double-digit digs.

     Oswego will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday against St. Lawrence University followed by a 12 p.m. contest with Wells College.
