The women's soccer team recorded its second-straight shutout Friday, Sept. 20, as the Lakers beat D'Youville College 1-0.
Oswego shot four times before Tia Segretto netted her fourth goal of the season. Coming off a pass from Bri Dolan, Segretto scored from the top of the box at 21:35 in the first half.
Goalie Emily Varonier made a diving stop with 7:10 remaining in the first half to keep the lead.
The Lakers came out strong in the second half, but could not extend their lead after taking 12 shots.
In total, Oswego outshot D'Youville 23-3. Varonier had one save in the first half, while Alyssa Glasshagel kept the Spartans at zero in the second.
The Lakers play again at 4 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, when they travel to New Paltz to take on the Hawks in their SUNYAC contest of the year.
