The Oswego State women's soccer team's four-game win streak was snapped Saturday, Sept. 28, as the Lakers fell to Oneonta State 4-1. The loss drops Oswego to 6-3 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.
The Red Dragons struck first, scoring at 1:54 in the game by a goal from Melissa Guglielmo.
Oswego answered three minutes later when Nikki Liadka scored her 10th goal of the season with an assist from Georgia Traynor.
Tough defense and five saves from Oswego goalkeeper Alyssa Glasshagel kept the game tied at 1-1 at the half.
Oneonta's Karly DeSimone scored for the Red Dragons in the 54th minute to make the score 2-1. They scored again at 73:28 off of a goal from Amanda Regensburger.
Guglielmo scored her second goal of the game off of a header past Oswego goalie Emily Varonier at 89:34 to cap the scoring for the day.
Varonier had two saves in the second half.
The Lakers will continue SUNYAC play at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, when they host SUNY Plattsburgh at Laker Field.
