The Oswego State wrestling team fell 36-6 to No. 17 Brockport on Wednesday night at Max Ziel Gymnasium. With the loss, Oswego falls to 2-7 on the season while the nationally-ranked Golden Eagles improved to 2-0.
Scott Bova earned the Lakers' six team points with a pin after 2:43 in the first period for a victory at 184.
The Golden Eagles have a pair of wrestlers ranked in the top 10 of their particular weight classes in the latest NWCA poll. Matthias Ellis II, who is ranked ninth in the 125 weigh class, took down Kevin Ramkishun by major decision, 16-4.
The 197-pound Paul Glover is ranked third in his weight class and took down Joseph Gorsuch at 1:34 of the first period by fall.
Oswego will return to action at 12 p.m. on Saturday when it travels to take on Oneonta.
