Ten Years of Tours in Oswego

Oswego Tours is Open!

“We started with a Food & History Tour and over the years added a Haunted Tour and a Just the History Tour,” reminisces owner, Colette Astoria. “It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years!”

Tonia Reed is an expert when it comes to pampering, relaxation, and wellness.

Reed opened her first salon in 1999, and moved In Vogue Salon and Spa to its current location at 62 West Bridge St., Oswego in 2004.

Today from 10am to 5pm, she is hosting her grand opening of sister business Elysian Spa at In Vogue, located next door at 70 W. Bridge St. Elysian Spa provides a luxurious day spa experience that is truly unique to Oswego.

“Many people don’t recognize the difference between a salon that offers spa services and a fully dedicated day spa,” Reed told iHeart Oswego. “They have some similarities, but ultimately are quite different.”

At In Vogue, Reed continues to offer services like waxing, mani/pedis, and eyelash extensions. Clients walk through the busy salon to reach the dedicated areas for these services or may add services after a cut and style for everyday pampering.

Next door at Elysian Spa, every detail is focused on creating a Zen atmosphere that relaxes patrons from the moment they step across the threshold. There are water features scattered throughout and soft music playing to create a calming ambiance. “It feels like I’ve created an art museum,” Reed told the iHeart team with a laugh. It’s true—modern wall art is hung tastefully throughout the spa, offering an aura of sophistication.

The spa is located inside of a Victorian home that Reed purchased nearly two full years ago, and her careful eye has been over every aspect of the building to create the perfect relaxation and wellness experience. There is a steam sauna with Himalayan salt, as well as a relaxation room with hot teas and infused waters. “We prefer loose leaf tea because tea bags can introduce microplastics,” Reed informed our team.

Multiple licensed estheticians are available to provide a variety of wellness treatments. “Every product we offer here is organic and clean to support overall wellness,” Reed told iHeart Oswego. Services include facials, red light therapy, and multiple different body scrubs and wraps designed to support clear, soft skin. On-site showers stocked with organic shampoos and soaps make it easy for patrons to refresh after full-body treatments.

Manicures and pedicures are available at the spa as well, with various soaks to help exfoliate and condition the skin on a smaller scale.

Patrons can enjoy 50-minute or 80-minute massage packages, either for individuals or couples. Pre-natal massages, available for moms-to-be past their first trimester, can be purchased individually or in a series of three to reduce stress and support maternal health.

A special feature at Elysian Spa is the Airbnb located above the business, which Reed rents out for overnight spa experiences. The fully furnished space is perfect for honeymooners, as well as locals looking for a relaxing night away.

Discover more and unwind with Elysian Spa at ElysianSpa-InVogue.com. The spa is open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 7pm, and Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 10am to 5pm.
