The little theater by the water was brimming with laughter as an advanced audience was treated to Blithe Spirit, a classic comedy by Noël Coward.
The story follows Charles Condomine, a novelist who invites the eccentric medium Madame Arcati into his home to conduct a séance—hoping to gather material for his next book. But the evening takes a ghostly turn when Madame Arcati accidentally summons the spirit of Charles’s late first wife, Elvira. Invisible to everyone but Charles, Elvira is mischievous, jealous, and determined to wreak havoc on his current marriage. What follows is a hilarious battle of wills between the living and the dead, filled with clever dialogue and supernatural surprises.
The cast’s comedic timing and spirited performances had the audience in stitches. iHeart Oswego gives this wonderful show a 5 heart rating.
